NCAA & CLUB SOCCER SHOWCASE ANNOUNCEMENT
Attention TYSL Players, Parents and Coaches! We need youth players to serve as escorts during the 3rd Annual NCAA and Club Soccer Showcase. On Saturday, April 13, the UNM Men and Women Lobos will take the field against Denver and we want to send all the players out in style. Games start at 1 pm and 3:30 pm. Escorts should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the game wearing their TYSL jersey, shorts and socks.

CONGRATULATIONS TAOS TIGERS AND LADY TIGERS
2010, 2011 BOYS AND GIRLS DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!!!
THS Tigers finished with a season record of 12-7 winning the District Championship for the second time ever. The THS Lady Tigers finished with a 16-3 record making it their best ever finish in program history. The girls also finished with a team average 4.2 GPA in the classroom! Congratulations to both!
KATLIN OKAMOTO: SOCCER WITHOUT BORDERS
Katlin Okamoto has started the Soccer without Borders Girls Program. Katlin, who is a recent graduate of Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado is an accomplished soccer player and student. She was the captain of the Colorado College Women’s team and helped guide them to the NCAA tournament last year for the first time in more then a decade. She also excelled off the field where she was an honor roll student majoring in Biology and Asian Studies. Katlin, a native of Taos, New Mexico, joins the Soccer Without Borders team as the Director of Girls Programs and is currently in the process of designing a progam that will promote girls involvement in soccer as well as encouraging self-esteem, leadership and healthy choices amongst participants. “I am looking forward to promoting girls involvement in sports in a way that respects cultural practices and is sustainable for the future." says Okamoto. More information about the Girls Program will be provided soon.
